One visit metal-free crowns

You may like to view the following video, which shows some examples of one visit crowns and veneers:

An example of a broken down tooth with an old amalgam filling which was repaired by us with a one visit crown. It is now virtually indistinguishable from a normal tooth, and should give many years of trouble-free use.

The following example shows  two teeth where the fillings have been lost. Now she has two superb, strong, natural looking crowns. We completed both at the same visit

The next pictures illustrate the difference in finish between a laboratory, 2-visit crown, and the one visit technique. It should be pointed out that this is on the palate side of the teeth and is not visible.  The tooth on the right is the single visit crown, and it merges smoothly with the natural tooth, the join being excellent. The two visit crown is good, but the shape and colour merging is not quite to the same standard. From a practical, functional point of view both perform well.

The following show the before (Left) and after (Right) where a veneer had failed and it was necessary to match the new crown to the other teeth, so the ideal was that no visible change occurred. Can you tell which tooth has the one visit crown?

The cost of a one visit crown is the same as a traditional crown, £395. Where staining and glazing is required rather than the usual polishing, a fee of £520 per crown is charged, requiring additional time, but still one visit.
