What we do
We carry out the normal range of activities of a general dental practice providing a full range of treatments. Where a person has a particular need that we are unable to fulfil, we refer to specialist colleagues in practice or hospital, as necessary.
To support this we keep up to date with improvements in dentistry by attending courses and reading the dental literature. We have the most up to date equipment and provide the latest treatments, where they give advantages over established treatment
External Relationships
We are involved in research and the results are communicated to local dentists and doctors as well as others around the world to encourage improvements in gum treatments in particular.
From feedback received, this website is read by many who aren't patients and we explain some of the things we do, so that they may gain understanding and other dentists adopt some of our approaches, or refer patients to us.
We produce a 6 monthly newsletter, which is distributed throughout Worcester. We give tips which anyone can make use of to improve and maintain their dental health, and in this way fulfilling a wider public health role, which seems to be neglected by the local Pimary Care Trust, whose main concern is to tell people that they can get access to an NHS dentist.
Ray Steggles has been appointed as Honorary Dental Surgeon to Worcestershire County Cricket Club, and we hope this position will give us the chance of passing on the message that steps can be taken to prevent sports injuries and what first-aid steps can be taken should they happen. This is the first appointment of its kind by a First-Class cricket county.
